went to patch a hole in my jeans today...one in a

lo and behold- it ended up not being just any ol' worn
out spot...it was a piece of art!

My choice...

the Kitchenaid stand mixer in pistachio.

...and i'm so excited to now have it! it was the final 'prize' i
chose as part of an incentive program we did at work. once i
decided between that and the netbook, the hard part was
deciding what color- pistachio or pear (shown below).

things have been busy so i have yet to use it since it came in
it's lovely target box last week...but i'll be sure to share how
it is. for now i just know it's purty.

and...from what i've heard...everyone, at some point, gotsa gets a kitchenaid!

Patina is the darling little shop creation of our good friends Justin (drummer of Nate's band) and Nichole. It's located on Main St. in Pleasant Grove and the 'grand opening' will be next week.. And, really, you should go check it out! I went to drop off my stuff there last night and couldn't get over how charming the place is!

i didn't get a lot of pictures because the sun was shining right on our table (bummer) for a good part of the day, but i'll be getting some pictures of my stuff up soooon. also, i said it last year (ha!) and will say it again today- i've got an etsy account that i've had set up but still nothing posted on it. gimme a few weeks and hopefully it really will be up a running! (i'm for reals this time!)

my cousin's talk of wanting to learn calligraphy
reminded me of this for some reason:

at some point during my childhood years, i got this book called "The Butterfly Alphabet"- it's all real pictures...pretty amazing! i had an obsession with butterflies- in elementary school, i spent my recesses catching them with the girls! -sigh- the good ol' days..

anyways, i think this would look cool as a big framed poster..maybe with more toned-down colors.
